Daniel Kinnear, Specialist, Business Research
Daniel Kinnear is the database manager for the Economic and Business Research Center, and is responsible for providing timely and accurate data for the Center’s forecasting models and various studies. His projects include the migration of the Center’s databases into EViews 7, a new, improved statistical and econometric software package, and automating the collection and quality control of larger data sets. Daniel is the co-creator of an original financial index of Arizona’s publicly-traded companies, and has co-authored several articles in Arizona’s Economy focusing on the impact of the latest recession on Arizona’s publicly-traded, small market capitalization technology and manufacturing firms.
Daniel holds a B.S. in Business Administration of Finance from the University of Arizona, where he currently is pursuing an M.S. in Management of Finance. Through his graduate studies he plans to complement his work in the Center by studying econometric modeling techniques. His research interests include small cap equity valuation and estimation of public pension liabilities.
