About the Arizona State Data Center Program

The Economic & Business Research Center is a member of the The Arizona State Data Center Program, established in 1978 to improve the accessibility of statistical information and products from the federal Census Bureau to the citizens of our state. The program consists of a group of organizations which have expertise working with census information and have formed a cooperative network to more effectively respond to data requests on population and demography.

The Population Statistics Unit of the Arizona Department of Economic Security (ADES) is the lead agency for the Program. Other coordinating agencies are The University of Arizona, Arizona State University, Northern Arizona University, and the Department of Library, Archives and Public Records.

The Arizona State Data Center Program also conducts workshops and presentations on census data and products. ADES publishes a newsletter designed to provide timely information to data users about census products and activities related to Arizona, plus current estimates and projections prepared by ADES Population Statistics Unit staff.
